أﺗذﻛرﯾن ﻋﻧدﻣﺎ ﻛﻧت ﺗروﯾﻧﻧﻲ ﺑﺎﻟﻘﺻص

ﻋن اﻷﺑطﺎل اﻟذﯾن ﯾﺣﻣﻠون راﯾﺔ اﻟﺣرﯾﺔ؟

اﻵن أﺷﻌر ﺑﺄﻧﻧﻲ أﻛﺑر وأﻛﺑر

أﺣﻣل ﻓوق ﻛﺗﻔﻲ ﺟرح اﻟوطن اﻟﻌظﯾم

Do you remember when you used to tell me stories

about the heroes who carried the banner of freedom?

I feel like I am growing and growing now,

carrying the wound of the great nation over my shoulder.
