Glimpse Through Glass

Windows are transparent; sometimes warm and inviting...

…and sometimes they remind you that you will always stay on the wrong side,

just getting a small glimpse through the glass.

They are closed or open.

Covered by curtains or see-through.

Dirty or clean as a whistle.

Windows are not like doors.

They show you someone’s world.

They allow you to look inside, but they are not meant for you to enter their world,

reminding you that you will always stay on the outside looking in.
